It was originally a row of cottages built in the early nineteenth century and has been operating as a hotel since the 1930s. The fourteen ensuite bedrooms are comfortable and and are personally run by the owners, Rowena and Hadyn Ingram. Rowena is a Blue Badge tourist guide whose in-depth knowledge of the region is at the disposal of guests. Awarded by the Institute of Tourist Guiding, the Blue Badge is the highest guiding qualification in Britain. Within of a short walk of the Clovelly Hotel through the beautiful Avon Riverside gardens is the famous 13th century Cathedral with its magnificently landscaped Close.
